Erika literally was born and grew up in the band, since both of her parents were in it, but didn't become a regular member until 2001. Erika has served as the band’s leader since 2006. She currently has the privilege of playing in the band with her father, mother, daughter, sons, and husband (aka partner-in-crime). She has single-handedly introduced the steel drum into the world of polka!
She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education with a focus in Ethnomusicology. She has since resigned from teaching in the public schools to focus on teaching her own four children, teaching privately, and running the business of the band.
