That's a wrap!

A group picture at the Schulz Bräu Brewing Oktoberfest in Knoxville, TN.

Hello Klaberheads,

…and just like that, the Oktoberfest season has come to an end.

It’s a bittersweet moment for me. I love this season more than any other and I’m always sad to see it end. However, this month does allow for some extended moments to sit, process, and reflect over the past three months.

It’s time to prepare for the Christkindlmarkts and New Year’s Eve celebration. We will be playing all styles of Christmas music, including German carols, at the Christkindlmarkts. This music is so much fun to play! It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.

And yes! You have asked, and we have heard your request. Help us ring in the new year Klaberheads style and spend New Year's Eve with the Klaberheads. The event will be hosted by the Courtyard Marriott in Hamilton, OH.

2025 will mark our 95th Anniversary and there’s no better place to have our year-long celebration than where our band was started, right here in Hamilton. We are so excited to bring this super fun event back after a four-year hiatus. So much has changed in downtown Hamilton, why not make an overnight trip out of it? :) Lots of shops, restaurants, and breweries are all within walking distance of the Marriott. Buy tickets here!

We have 4 Klaberhead birthdays this month. Franz & Emily share a birthday and Franz will be turning 85! Jeff turns….it doesn’t matter, he’ll still act like he’s 13. John is also celebrating a birthday this month.

Finally, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support of the Klaberheads. Whether it be by joining us at a festival, buying merchandise at the gigs, purchasing our music online, or visiting our social media platforms, we are so grateful to have such fun and loyal fans.

We all feel so grateful to be able to make music together and have it reach all of you. We hope that our music has touched your heart, brought a smile to your face, and taken you to a place where joy is represented by music.

Pröst,

Bandmember spotlight

Jeff Porada plays sax, clarinet, brake drum, and spoons for the Klaberheads. He was recruited in 2017 making this his eighth Oktoberfest season.

His career highlight was being the Centerfold of Woodwind Magazine.

Jeff's special talent is his ability to grow a beard overnight--although some may say it's his sense of humor. We often call him the jester because of his dedication to making everyone onstage (and off) laugh.

When he's not performing with the Klaberheads, Jeff is hard at work with his car restoration and parts business The Winner's Circle.
