Franz Klaber

Franz Klaber has been a vital part of the band since 1953, starting as a middle schooler in his father’s group, the Franz Klaber Orchestra. He took over leadership in 1963 after his father’s sudden passing, eventually renaming the band to the Klaberheads. 

Despite suffering a stroke in 2006, Franz's determination and resilience saw him missing only one gig, and he continues to captivate audiences with his performances. A former member of the U.S. Army Band stationed in Germany, Franz is a true entertainer, known for his many hats and humorous props, always aiming to bring smiles and laughter to the crowd.
